Info for Bob Marley: One Love - Music Inspired By The Film

Island Records and Tuff Gong have announced a soundtrack EP for the biographical drama Bob Marley: One Love. The EP features seven covers of popular Bob Marley songs inspired by the film and performed by artists such as Bloody Civilian, Skip Marley, Leon Bridges, Wizkid, Daniel Caesar and Jessie Reyez.

Bob Marley: One Love is co-written and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch, James Norton, Umi Myers, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Aston Barrett Jr., Nia Ashi and Anna-Sharé Blake. The movie, which celebrates the life and music of the Jamaican singer/songwriter, will be released in theaters nationwide on February 14 by Paramount Pictures.

Biopic about Jamaican reggae artist Bob Marley. The film not only shows flashbacks to his early life, but primarily focuses on the creation of the album Exodus, which was recorded by Bob Marley in 1977 as part of Bob Marley and the Wailers. This album is particularly significant because it was made shortly after an assassination attempt that the musician survived, forcing him to leave his native Jamaica and go into exile in England. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers and Terence Winter. The main role is played by Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley and Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley. In addition to Robert Teitel, Marley´s widow Rita Marley and daughter Cedella Marley also serve as executive producers of the film.
