Info for Look up!

"Look Up!" Joe would say after playing a few notes of the Bach Flute Sonata we'd always warm up with before starting the lesson. Joe Temperley, my private teacher at the Juilliard School, would encourage me to keep my eyes open...look up, open my nose and throat when playing so I could try to "sing" through the saxophone. The room immediately warmed up when Joe entered the room. He'd sing out loud. He'd play one note with the most beautiful tone you would ever hear. I miss that sound and I miss him dearly.

It seemed appropriate to name my first EP, Look Up! in tribute to Joe, but also as a thank you to everyone (family, friends, musicians, teachers) for their love and support all these years, especially to my mother, father and brothers who's unconditional love and support has never wavered.
