Das sind sie also wieder. Nach dem retrospektiv als ‘Zwischenspiel’ zu wertenden, viel gelobten „Manifesto of an Alchemist“ 2018, führten die erfolgreichen Flower Kings Revisited Shows dazu, dass Roine Stolt (Transatlantic, The Sea Within, Anderson/Stolt) diese Live-Besetzung in THE FLOWER KINGS transferierte und nun mit „Waiting For Miracles“ ein neues Doppelalbum präsentiert, welches mit folgender Besetzung eingespielt wurde: Roine Stolt (Gesang, Gitarre), Hasse Fröberg (Gesang), Zach Kamins (Keyboards, Gitarre), Jonas Reingold (Bass) und Mirko DeMaio (Drums, Percussion). Aufgenommen im RMV Studio in Stockholm, erwartet euch laut Stolt ein „pures Prog-Album mit massig Vintage-Keyboards, komplexen Rhythmen, langen Gitarrensoli und Elementen aus Pop, Prog, Rock, symphonischer und cinematischer Musik“. Abgerundet durch ein grandioses Gemälde des amerikanischen Künstlers Kevin Sloan, zelebrieren THE FLOWER KINGS auf „Waiting For Miracles“ den farbenfrohen, verspielten, melodischen und experimentellen Sound, für den sie seit den Neunzigern bekannt und beliebt sind. Im Dezember folgt dann die Live-Präsentation im Rahmen einer Tour mit den Holländern Kayak.

The Flower Kings
started as an outlet for guitarist/singer/composer Roine Stolt in 1994 – a time when prog-rock wasn’t mere history, nor a dirty word. The band quickly gained momentum and was one of a handful of bands helping to revive the progressive rock scene worldwide. Roine has since collaborated with a host of legendary musicians across various projects, including his acclaimed 2015 album with Yes-legend Jon Anderson, progressive-rock supergroup Transatlantic alongside Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy & Pete Trewavas, and a year as bass player with Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. The Flower Kings however, has always felt like home for Roine and the other band veterans Jonas Reingold & Hasse Fröberg.
