Jackie Leven is celebrated as one of the worlds most prolific and accomplished singer songwriters. His recordings encompassed everything from folk to celtic soul, driving rock to lyrical ballads. He passed away 10 years ago this November but the legend of this uniquely talented artist grows every year as more and more people discover and celebrate his remarkable catalogue of recordings. This year is a massive year for Jackie Leven as there are 3 unique physical and digital releases, numerous new edits and tribute recordings, a new website and social media channels, best of and themed playlists and an extensive PR campaign backed up by extensive digital advertising.

"Solo career spanning set, long needed, by one of Scotland’s finest songwriters" (Uncut)

"I don't know why Jackie Leven isn't better known - he should be revered...I hope this Straight Outta Caledonia compilation makes a difference. It’s a lovely introduction that just scratches the surface. I’d love it if, having listened to it, people went off and explored Jackie’s discography. You could spend your whole life there, getting to know this guy." (Ian Rankin, The Guardian)
