Dieses Album ist eine chronologische Reise vom Barock bis ins 20. Jahrhundert, die die Entwicklung der Komposition für zwei Violinen nachzeichnet und die stilistischen, expressiven und technischen Veränderungen hervorhebt, die drei Jahrhunderte Musik geprägt haben.

Der Barock bevorzugt einen eleganten, virtuosen Stil, wobei Komponisten wie Jean-Marie Leclair und Francesco Geminiani einen Dialog zwischen den beiden Instrumenten schaffen, der sich durch Ausgewogenheit und zarte Verzierungen auszeichnet. In der Klassik entwickelten Ignace Pleyel und Giovanni Battista Viotti einen symmetrischeren und melodischeren Kompositionsstil mit einem klaren Zusammenspiel zwischen den Violinen, das die Harmonie und Leichtigkeit der Epoche widerspiegelte. In der Romantik bringt Charles Auguste de Bériot eine größere emotionale Intensität ein, indem er Virtuosität und melodische Freiheit mit tieferem Ausdruck einführt. Schließlich experimentierte Béla Bartók im 20. Jahrhundert mit komplexen Rhythmen, Dissonanzen und innovativen Klängen und bereicherte den Dialog zwischen den Violinen mit einzigartigen Klangfarben und einer Integration ungarischer Volksmusik. Jeder Komponist bereicherte die Komposition für zwei Violinen und fügte dem musikalischen Dialog neue stilistische und technische Dimensionen hinzu.

The members of the duo are Francesco Pio Bertozzi and Giuseppe Pio Bertozzi, both born on September 1, 2000. Francesco and Giuseppe graduated with top marks in violin at the Umberto Giordano Conservatory in Foggia and then they completed a second masters degree in Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Parma under the guidance of Lena Yokoyama.

They held masterclasses and advanced courses in duo formation with Andrés Diaz, Laura Marzadori, Kathrin Ten Hagen, Mirjam Tschopp and the world famous "Mirò String Quartet". The duo has been awarded prizes in national and international competitions such as Euterpe International Music Competition (BA), U.K. International Music Competition (UK), Beethoven International Music Competition and the Messina National Chamber Music Competition (held in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto). Both have performed in theatres such as Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Florence), Teatro Greco (Ischia, Walton foundation), Teatro Verdi (Brindisi), Teatro Apollo (Lecce), Palazzo Reale (Napoli) and others. They have participated in national and international festivals namely Julich Music Festival (Germany), Festival Ritratti, Urti Canti, etc.

Their first album won 2 Global Music Awards (Best Emerging Artist - Best duo) and 3 Nominations at the World Entertainment Awards in Los Angeles (Best Classical Album - Best Duo - Best Classical Artist).
