Juan Pablo Balcázar
Colombian by birth but Barcelona-born by adoption, is a restless and multifaceted musician who moves with equal ease in the field of jazz and improvised music as he does in the world of Hip Hop, Pop or Latin American music.

He has recorded more than twelve albums under his own name (with different groups led by him) and many others as a sideman on different record labels.

His work as an electric bass player, double bass player and composer has led him to play in countless festivals and stages around the world.

He has shared the stage with musicians such as Lucia Pulido, Guillermo Klein, Guillermo McGill, Miguel Zenón, Javier Ibarra (Kase. O), Miguel Villar ‘Pintxo’, Jorge Sepúlveda, Martirio, Cecilia Todd, Marco Mezquida, Wycliff Gordon, David Xirgu, Albert Bover, Terence Stadford, Ruper Ordorika, Carlos Falanga, Greg Duncan, Juan David Castaño, Nicolas and Juan Andrés Ospina, Sofia Ribeiro, Dani Comas, Marta Gomez, David Xirgu, Jordi Matas, Juan Berbin, Dani Dominguez, Alejandro Mingot, Hasier Oleaga, Joe Smith, Bill McHenry, Marta Sánchez, Rapsusklei, Rxnde Akozta and many others.
