Georges Soyka
Georges Soyka from Luxembourg studied classical trumpet at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (HfM) in the class of Prof. Reinhold Friedrich. During his time in Karlsruhe, Georges was a member of the Thomas Jehle Quartet and recorded two CDs with this jazz ensemble: "... Close Enough For Jazz" and "StandARTs". He then completed a master's degree in jazz trumpet in Amsterdam, where he participated in projects with John Clayton, Justin DiCioccio, Terrell Stafford and David Berger. Since autumn 2014, he has been teaching trumpet as an adjunct professor at the Main Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg and at the Music School in Bad Mondorf. Georges currently performs mainly with his Georges Soyka Quartet and the quintet Luxembourg Jazz Messengers, he is also a member of the Luxembourg Rubrica Art Ensemble and the band Murphy's Law.

Kyoko Kashii
was born on 22 February 1977 in Osaka (Japan). She started playing the piano at the age of 3 with H. KOBAYASHI (jury member of the International F. CHOPIN Competition and President of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition). She won several prizes, including first prize at the Mainichi Music Competition in 1993, the most important student competition in Japan. In 1996 she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she studied piano with J. ROUVIER, G. PLUDERMACHER, M. BEROFF, and chamber music with A. Meunier, B. Pasquier and D. Hovora. In addition, she also studied fortepiano with P. COHEN, and composition. In all these subjects she obtained the Diplôme de Formation Supérieure with the Prix de Piano and the Prix de Musique de Chambre. In 2002, she received a 3-year scholarship from the Japanese government of the Overseas Study Programme for Artists. She is currently studying in the soloist class of Homero FRANCESCH at the Hochschule Musik und Theater Zürich and composition with Prof. MULLENBACH in Luxembourg. She is also a member of an ensemble with two pianos and two percussionists, with which she performs in major concert halls worldwide.
