Biography Vroni Frisch
Vroni Frisch Band
There is room for everything here: from smooth and delicate to rough and wild. The compositions by Mainz-based bassist and composer Vroni Frisch invite the listener on an atmospheric journey—one where the songs always take center stage, yet are free to evolve in any direction.
At times, the music ventures into classical or cinematic soundscapes, distilling a variety of influences and styles with a penchant for grand gestures. The tension between composed and improvised elements plays a key role in the band’s live performances.
An in-demand bassist—active in jazz, pop, and crossover—as well as a composer for big bands, Vroni now focuses on a quartet format, using it to bring her musical vision to life through lyrical melodies, compelling harmonies, intricate rhythms, and rich, full-bodied grooves.
To this end, she has gathered a group of musical companions around herself and her six-string electric bass, allowing the flow, the sheer joy of playing, and those spontaneous "magic moments" to unfold freely.
