Info zu Fete slåtta
After many years of rattle rock within various genres, we are very pleased to still be able to present new genres, and now the turn has come to our secret folk music. With Harding fiddle, cello and guitar, Erlend Viken Trio creates a raw and acoustic experience that is difficult to find elsewhere. They have allowed themselves to be inspired by Norwegian folk music, rock, African desert blues and American old-time music, and have thus created a distinctive style that has earned them fans across genre boundaries.
The debut record, Frie tøylar, has an original expression that is both rooted and experimental. "The strength of the composition and the power of the interplay create music that transcends into genius," the magazine Folkemusikk wrote about the album. "This is music that hits you regardless of whether you are a fan of folk music, rock or blues," wrote Adresseavisen.

Erlend Viken
is a sought after musician who has productions under his own name: Erlend Viken Trio. He has played with some of the biggest names in rock, pop, jazz, hip-hop and folk music in Skandinavia.
Erlend is as stimulating as a breath of fresh Nordic morning air. He introduces a new approach to Scandinavian folk music in which elements of desert blues, old-time American music and folk rock energy are fused together in a lively blend in his compositions. He has been playing with the Karl Seglem Band since 2019.
