Das Debütalbum von Foreigner aus dem Jahr 1977 zeigte in den USA, dass guter alter Rock eben nicht von der aus England anrollenden Welle des Punk verdrängt werden würde. Foreigner zelebriert hier, was man in späteren Jahren einmal „Arena-Rock' nennen sollte. Musik zu der ein jeder die Luftgitarre auspacken kann und mit der man Stadien füllen kann. Das Album wurde im Laufe der Zeit gleich fünfmal mit Platin für seine enormen Verkaufszahlen ausgezeichnet und der Hit „Cold As Ice' gehört in das Programm jedes Rockradios.

Obwohl dieses Album schon diverse Male u.a. auf DVD-Audio veröffentlicht worden ist klingt es in Studio Masterqualität 192kHz, 24 Bit Sensationell. Es ist Dan Hersch und Bill Inglot gelungen aus den Orignalbändern ein derartig brilliantes Klangbild zu zaubern, dass man glauben könnte es handele sich um eine moderne Produktion. Eines derjenigen Alben, die man unbedingt laut hören sollte.

2008 was another banner year for the band, as they released No End In Sight, featuring a brand new track called “Too Late.” One of the band’s highlights came late last year on December 10th at London’s O2 Arena, where Foreigner took part in an incredible event performing with Atlantic Records label mates Led Zeppelin at a tribute concert honoring the late Ahmet Ertegun.

“I had no idea at the beginning what Foreigner would become,” said Jones. Back when we started the band, I was at a crossroads in my life, whether I was going to carry on in music or get a real job. So thirty years later, I think I made the right decision by following my true passion which is making music.”
