Info zu Marco Pacassoni: Hands & Mallets
"Hands & Mallets" comprises almost exclusively original compositions from the last year (with the exception of only two pieces). It is a synthesis of their careers as composers and performers that takes place in a global context that, while on the one hand has prevented dating, on the other has favoured introspection, research and study.
The sequence of pieces demonstrates how two different compositional approaches can dialogue and create a unique flow that crosses musical genres. In the same way, the two musicians dialogue, without overlapping but listening to each other and managing the primary elements (harmony, rhythm, melody and sound spectrum) in a masterly manner and always with the final result in mind. It is in fact also a record about the art of accompaniment, listening to Enzo's orchestral pianism, and about how percussive instruments can achieve such high lyricism in Marco's solos.

Enzo Bocciero
Born in 1963, he completed classical studies in Violin, Piano and Composition culminating with a diploma in Violin in 1985.
Always interested in electronic keyboards, he made his first professional tour when he was not yet of age and has since collaborated, both in the studio and live, with leading names on the Italian pop music scene.
In parallel, he was one of the pioneers of Italian digital music and one of the first MIDI programmers in the world. The first collection of MIDI backing tracks made for GEM keyboards in the late 1980s is his.
From 1990 to 2004 he was Product Manager for GEM, for whom he designed keyboards and digital pianos that he 'demonstrated' all over the world with live performances at the main trade fairs and events in the sector. Since 2006, he has been Product Manager for KORG Italy. In 1985 he also began his activity as an arranger and composer, ranging from 'serious' music to soundtracks, through orchestral arrangements and for small ensembles. He has always been passionate about the language of jazz, and has been a member as author and pianist of the 'Marco Pacassoni Quartet' for a decade.
