Die international gefeierte Matilda Lyn, die in Göteborg geboren und aufgewachsen ist, besitzt die bemerkenswerte Fähigkeit, die Wachstumsschmerzen der Jugend durch prägnante, prägnante Texte einzufangen. Über das Album, das auf ihre EPs „A Bowl Of Unripe Fruit“ und „Sunwarmed“ folgt, fügt Lyn hinzu: „Für mich schwebt ‚Red Dragonfly‘ durch Verwandlung und Wandel und erinnert mich daran, wer ich wirklich bin. Das Album bewegt sich zwischen Anfängen und Enden, die miteinander verflochten sind. Es ist das erste Mal, dass ich Musik gemacht habe und dabei vollkommen im Einklang mit dem war, wie ich mir den Sound vorstelle. In diesen 11 Songs zeige ich mich in meiner authentischsten Form.“
