Info for The Offline in Session

The Offline’s unique approach to auditory storytelling draws inspiration from the cinematic scores of 1960s and 70s film and television. Influenced by legendary composers like François de Roubaix and David Axelrod, his sound also weaves in a deep love for hip-hop, subtly nodding to icons such as MF Doom and The Alchemist. His music has received support from tastemakers including Huey Morgan and Deb Grant on BBC 6 Music, Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2, Jyoty on Rinse FM, and Tony Minvielle on Jazz FM.

His latest project, The Offline in Session, brings to life tracks from the En Clair-Obscur and Les Cigales EPs, as well as his debut album La couleur de la mer, performed live for the very first time.

The Offline began as a visual and sonic exploration by Felix Müller, who travelled along the southern Atlantic coast of France with his analogue camera, documenting beach life on film. Back home in Hamburg, he began crafting music to accompany those visuals — the soundtrack to his own cinematic world. His debut EP En Clair-Obscur captured the feeling of a hazy summer, setting the stage for 2023’s La couleur de la mer, a fully formed score for a film yet to exist. His music has since reached millions of listeners, earned radio support across BBC, Rinse FM, FIP, Jazz FM, and Somewhere Soul, and sold hundreds of physical records.
