Info for Trust
The trio's new record has a distinct personal touch. The music is primarily created by Lennart Simonsson, Per V. Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg. Additionally, there is a favourite by Taube, a Swedish hymn, and a powerful musical melody by Bernstein. The three members have gotten to know each other very well over the years, and despite many different collaborations, they have never abandoned the trio format. This is manifested on this recording through the trust in each other as musicians, in the power of the music, and in the listener. The trio offers us music that was created in difficult times, in love, or as tributes to various collaborations. "We are so grateful that over the years we have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many fantastic musicians and artists, and on this album, we also pay tribute to our close and dear ones." - Trio X of Sweden. Trio X of Sweden is one of Sweden's most renowned piano trios. The trio's distinctive characteristic is its exploratory and boundary-crossing music, and the experienced musicians draw inspiration from many genres. Lennart Simonsson, Per V. Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg began their collaboration in 2002 and have since recorded several albums, collaborated with numerous well-known artists, and toured both in Sweden and abroad. As part of Musik i Uppland's operations, Trio X of Sweden undertakes many different assignments locally and nationally. Totally, this Trio has streamed over 40millions streams at Spotify, all over world.

Trio X of Sweden
Trio X is one of Sweden’s foremost improvisational groups. The trio’s distinctive feature is exploratory and boundary-crossing music, and the experienced musicians find inspiration in many genres. Lennart Simonsson, Per V Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg started collaborating in 2002, and since then they have made several recordings, worked with numerouswell-known artists, and toured in Sweden and abroad.
Trio X is a multi-faceted ensemble that works with many projects, from concerts in jazz clubs, in concert halls, and at major festivals to classroom appearances. Alongside their public concerts, they also play in healthcare and caring institutions. The musicians also teach and provide inspiration for amateur groups.
Among Trio X’s many collaborators, mention can be made of cellist Svante Henryson, recorder player Dan Laurin, accordionist Bengan Janson, guitarist Georg Wadenius, singer Mikael Samuelson, and saxophonist Magnus Lindgren. They have also worked with choirs, like Orphei Drängar, and orchestras, such as Uppsala Chamber Orchestra. On several occasions the trio has toured in Estonia with the Estonian saxophone virtuoso Lembit Saarsalu, including the dance production Changing Images, which is based on music by Trio X.
