Info for Run The World: Season 1 (Music from the STARZ Original Series)
Run the World is an American comedy television series created by Leigh Davenport. She is co-executive producer with showrunner Yvette Lee Bowser. Set in Harlem, the series centers on a group of friends (portrayed by Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb, and Corbin Reid) navigating relationships and the professional world. Run the World is produced by Lionsgate Television and was ordered by Starz.
Robert Glasper is a jazz pianist with a knack for mellow, harmonically complex compositions that also reveal a subtle hip-hop influence.
Derrick Hodge is a celebrated composer, producer, and bassist equally adept on both electric and upright instruments. While he is best-known as a member of the Robert Glasper Experiment, he is an accomplished session musician who has worked extensively across the jazz, cinematic, and R&B genres.
