Info for Isolated Flowers
The new album "Isolated Flowers" by the quartet around Fabian Dudek documents the compositional development of the band leader and the growing together of the outstanding cloverleaf.
"We have considerably expanded our spectrum," Dudek states, "with regard to the joint elaboration of my pieces as well as in the spontaneous interaction in improvisations." Both aspects are essential to the music in Dudek's view. "Due to the Corona restrictions, we were able to play fewer concerts in 2020 / 21 than planned. All the more reason for us to rehearse and consistently work on details. This is extremely important, because even if my pieces are relatively extensively notated, we enter unknown territories every time we play together. Depending on how the others perceive what I have come up with, how they enrich my ideas with their own ideas and feelings, a new kind of language emerges."

Fabian Dudek
is a German saxophonist and composer. He is currently working on composing idiosyncratic musical forms that deal with rhythm, harmony and structures within the music. These are mixtures of conventional and avant-garde notation and are regularly revised and updated. They focus on the exchange of intellect and emotion.
Dudek’s creative process is strongly influenced by everyday life. Experiences, persons, objects, states, the good, the bad. A majority of the events, visuals, sounds, experiences of everyday go unnoticed. Things that seem normal can, under a magnifying glass, unfold differently, perhaps with beauty, perhaps with uniqueness.
