A great sequel to Hans Mathisen, Orchestral Works 1 (2017). Hans Mathisen is a Norwegian jazz guitarist, arranger and composer.
He is educated at the Conservatory of Music in Trondheim. Mathisen has played with a number of prominent figures all over the world and contributes as a musician to many releases. He has also distinguished himself as a composer and received the award Spellemannprisen in the jazz category in 2005 for the album "Quiet Songs". Hans Mathisen is the brother of musicians Per Mathisen, Nils Mathisen and Ole Mathisen. Hans Mathisen has written a number of commissioned works and is the composer behind the music for, among others, "Acherspelet" and "Toråsspelet".
