Info for What A Time To Be Alive

STORM ORCHESTRA has been distilling modern rock for several years, whose solid foundations are based on aggressive riffs, catchy choruses and effective gimmicks, inspired by the cream of UK groups such as Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves or even the first hours of Muse.

This first album deals globally with 2 themes: love (in its different forms) and the end of the world. Musically, the group unveils its entire artistic palette in a homogeneous way, always with the same recipe.

There are very strong titles with unifying choruses, more aggressive pieces with killer riffs, but also calmer and more progressive pieces.

The production, produced by ALIAS STUDIO (Bertrand Poncet and Bastien Lafaye from Chunk, NoCaptain Chunk!), sublimates the relevance of their compositions with a massive and powerful American sound, giving them a whole new dimension.

"Storm Orchestra's debut album distills Muse-style riffs with the confidence of old hands. And yet 'What a time to be alive' is the debut album from this Parisian power trio, born in 2013. The line-up stabilized in 2018 with the arrival of Loïc Fouquet on drums, a debut EP two years later and covid to tide them over, and now the band arrive with 11 tracks written during their confinement. Well, almost, because in the end, only a few tracks made it onto the album. Never mind, the energy remains the same and each track boosts the digital atmosphere that colours the record. It's hypper produced and compressed to appeal to radio stations. It has to be said that Maxilme Goudard (vocals, guitars) and Adrien Richard (bass and drums) met at sound school. So, while Storme Orchestra are still referred to as alternative rock, they have moved away from the orthodox definition of their original era (the 80s) to find themselves plunged into the heart of the 2020s and its absolute control over everything that sounds. But the strength is there."

Storm Orchestra
Over the past two years, Storm Orchestra have been crafting their own take on modern rock, based on aggressive riffs, catchy choruses and hard-hitting passion.

Inspired by the 2010s wave of UK rock bands like like Royal Blood or Nothing But Thieves or the early years of Muse, the trio released a first self-titled EP in 2020 that reached 1 million streams.

Now, they’re ready to rock the stage with new tracks from their debut album, produced by Alias Studio (Bertrand Poncet and Bastien Lafaye from Chunk, No Captain Chunk!)
