This solo project by saxophonist Stefan Wistrand started as a DIY-thing during the first so called “isolation year” in 2020 when the live music scene was locked down. This sudden change in the routines gave Wistrand the opportunity to unconditionally begin a new project. It led him to working in a minimalist concept with electronics and loops in his home studio. Spontaneous themes and improvisations met electronic surroundings. Later, he asked some of his music buddies to make additions to some of the tracks. In the music you can of course hear the main roots in jazz, but also influences from electronic music, rock and art music.

Stefan Wistrand has been active in jazz and rock since the middle of the seventies. Played in constellations such as Stefan Wistrand & Peter Olsen Duo (free jazz) Nods Off (free jazz), Two Sounds Ensemble (improvisation), Fundamental Form (electroacoustic improvisation) and The Electric MZ (jazz-rock). He has also worked as a studio musician for several rock groups through the years.
