The Paul Kuhn octet, known - appropriately - as The Best, has built an iconic reputation in Germany, and is revered for its lively, exuberant interpretations of jazz and popular song standards. Here, the incomparable Greetje Kauffeld shares the vocals with Paul, and there are stirring contributions from trumpeters Ack van Rooyen and Claus Reichstaller, trombonist Jiggs Whigham and saxophonists Gustl Mayer and Peter Weniger.
