Info for Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Legendary space rock pioneers Hawkwind will release their latest live album "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" on Friday, September 29, 2023, capturing their electrifying appearance at the world-famous venue. This new live release follows on to the latest critically acclaimed album "Stories From". Time And Space consolidate their place at the top of the space rock genre. Hawkwind delivered an unforgettable set that blended tracks of their acclaimed 2023 studio album "The Future Never Waits" with a selection from their extensive back catalog that has delighted audiences for decades. Highlights of the evening include performances from fan favorites such as Levitation, Spirit Of The Age, Master Of The Universe and Assault And Battery.

This release proves Hawkwind's championship in live performance. The setlist includes her rich discography; in addition to her legendary tracks, there are newer fan favorites, including "Rama (The Prophecy)" by The Future Never Wait and the then-never heard "Underwater City," which was later recorded for their 2024 studio album "Stories From Time And Space." As always, Hawkwind's cast offers a powerful sonic journey.

Alongside Dave Brock on stage are longtime band members Richard Chadwick (drums), Magnus Martin (guitar/vocals), Doug MacKinnon (bass) and Tim "Thighpaulsandra" Lewis (synthesizer/keyboards), whose common musicality founded the iconic appearance of the Royal Albert Hall stage. The audience was also spoiled with a surprise guest appearance by Arthur Brown, who offered poetry lectures and other cosmic entertainment between the songs.

Hawkwind continues to fascinate new and old fans alike. Live at the Royal Albert Hall is another testament to the band's lasting legacy and their ability to push the boundaries of space rock while remaining true to their roots. Be ready to embark on a sound journey that is unparalleled, because Hawkwind takes you back to one of her most monumental performances yet. Hawkwind's new studio album "There Is No Space For Us" will be released in spring 2025 coinciding with live shows.
