currently lives in Montreal, Quebec Canada. Thom has performed in numerous jazz and improvised music settings. He has worked with Benoit Delbecq, Francois Houle, Wolter Weirbos, Ernst Gellerum, Steve Swell, Joel Miller with (Kurt Rosenwinkle, Ben Monder), Dave Binney, Christine Jensen, The Remi Bolduc Electric Group, Sound Clash, and John Labelle. He has also been a dance accompanist for over twenty years. It is this association that led him to composition. His ongoing collaborations with acclaimed choreographer Isabelle Van Grimde have resulted in numerous scores, both recorded and performed live. In 2002, Thom Gossage Other Voices received the prestigious OPUS award. For “best jazz concert of the year”. The group has released three albums of his original compositions to critical acclaim. Steve Raegele - Guitar
Born in Ottawa, guitarist Steve Raegele has lived in Montreal since 1995. Usually involved in music that involves improvisation with a healthy dose of composition, he has (at times) played other kinds of music. Teachers have included Justin Haynes, Bill Coon and Roddy Ellias. While at the Banff Center for the Arts, he learned from Tony Malaby, Ari Hoenig, Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas. He has performed with Thom Gossage, Miles Perkin, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Bernard Falaise, Nick Fraser, Drew Gress, Jean Derome, Antoine Bertiaume, Pemi Paull, Nicole Lizee, Adrian Vedady, Clinton Ryder, Frank Lozano, Erik Hove, Remi Bolduc, Joane Hetu and others... He has appeared on CDs by Thom Gossage, Isaiah Ceccarelli, and Nicole Lizee. His new CD, Last Century, is his first as a leader.
Miles Perkin - Bass
(b.1980) is a Canadian musician from Brandon, Manitoba. A bassist, composer, improvisor and interpreter with a strong focus on using improvisation as a tool which maintains, respects and enhances compositional structures. He uses a unique combination of conventional, extended and invented techniques along with unconventional tools to coax a vast palate of sounds from his double bass. In addition to his work as a soloist, he is involved in a wide range of Canadian and European based musical projects including: A new Quartet with Benoit Delbecq, Tom Arthurs and Thom Gossage, his 6 piece ensemble Common Thread, Steve Raegele Trio, Thom Gossage Other Voices, trio with Tom Arthurs & Yorgos Dimitriadis, trio with Philippe Lauzier & Robbie Kuster, Peter Van Huffel Quartet, duo with Benoit Delbecq, trio with Achim Kaufmann & Samuel Rohrer, duo with violinist Gerhard Uebele, and a trio with Magda Mayas & Rudi Fischerlehner.
Frank Lozano - Tenor & Soprano Sax
Ottawa-born Frank Lozano started his musical studies at Toronto's Humber College under the wing of Pat LaBarbera. After touring Czechoslovakia with Sound Image Theater, in 1990, the saxman settled in Montréal, where he joined drummer Bernard Primeau's ensemble. A popular player, Lozano went on to collaborate with a host of top tier musicians, from Tito Puento to Oliver Jones or Karen Young, and played with a variety of bands, from Tom Gossage's Other Voice to the Effendi Jazzlab. In 2007, the musician recorded his first CD as leader of the FrankLozanoGroup. The material for Colour Fields was conceived in New York, after Lozano had landed the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec's Soho studio residence grant.
Rémi Bolduc - Alto Sax

Acclaimed at the most important venues from New York to Paris by way of Geneva, Tokyo and Beijing, Rémi Bolduc captivates the audience with the dazzling virtuosity and stunning maturity that have made him a most accomplished musician. With his band, the Rémi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble, he composes and plays numbers that convey his formidable energy and spontaneity, allowing his organic sound to breathe freely. A versatile and dynamic artist, Rémi Bolduc performs regularly with some of our most renowned jazz musicians such as Kenny Werner, Ben Monder, Seamus Blake, Lorraine Desmarais, Vic Vogel, Thom Gossage, Ralph Bowen, Jerry Bergonzi and others. He teaches saxophone, improvisation and ensemble classes at Montreal’s McGill and Concordia Universities.
