Info for Happy end

"Happy end" is a tribute to slowness, to intimacy, to that joy that makes us want to hug someone and share emotions.

HAPPY END, the long-awaited new album by drummer and composer LORENZO TUCCI, will be released on 29 October 2021 on the Jando Music and Via Veneto Jazz labels.

The eight tracks, 7 of which are original, contained in the new album and signed by Tucci, are characterized by a soft, sweet and melodic sound; they are quiet and sometimes reflective songs, able to capture the listener's attention from an emotional point of view. The album also includes a heartfelt tribute to his homeland, Abruzzo, with a reinterpretation of the folk song 'Lu Piante de le Foje' (C. De Titta/G.Albanese).

"The pieces are in a dimension between heaven and earth," says Tucci, "sometimes they move towards the sky and sometimes towards the earth. As in Escher's famous engraving - in which it is the observer who decides whether to see the day or the night - in this record the listener can decide the perspective and it will be the listener himself who makes the difference, with his sensitivity, in perceiving the emotion I wanted to convey".

The themes are soft, deep and catchy, but not trivial at the same time. Some tracks suggest hope with a subtle melancholic vein, typical of Tucci's compositions, such as the track entitled 'Tutto'.

With this new work, the Abruzzese drummer Lorenzo Tucci touches the hearts of listeners through the use of a language that is new in jazz: simple, modern, but of great emotional impact.
