Info for Blu Eye Extinction

Hailing their funky theatricality, catchy choruses, bad-ass performance energy and profound musicianship as ‘The New P-Funk, to new ‘hip-hopera’, to new-funk rock jazz, to what is ‘on fire’ in new music today, their 8-track album, Blu Eye Extinction was produced by Constance Hauman & James Jones, featuring compositions and arrangements from every band member.

Blu Eye Extinction is a NYC-based funk fusion band currently on tour with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. The brainchild of Isotopia Records’ Constance Hauman who brings an unlikely combination of opera, jazz and funk to her keyboards and vocals, is only possible with the funk foundation and masterful grooves of the electric bass of James Jones. His unique style also encompasses his vocals, supporting Henry Ott’s rock guitars and Frank Zappa sensibility. If that isn’t enough, you add front man and emcee TJ Robinson on trombone, percussion and rap vocals, supported by JS Williams‘s rich trumpet w/ R&B vocals, and last but so not the least, Joshua Keitt’s metal-rock funk drums.

Blu eye Extinction

Blu eye Extinction
is a fusion of James Jones on bass + vocals, Henry Ott guitar, Constance Hauman keys +vocals; Tj Robinson trombone+vocals; JS Williams, trumpet + vocals and Joshua Keitt on drums. Each one brings a unique musical language to the stage and studio, creating an exciting take on funk, rap, metal and jazz.

After touring for 2.5 years with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, with the currently defunked NYC band Miss Velvet and The Blue Wolf, they came out of the covid hibernation to join P-Funk at Summerstage w/ an unintentional new name and identity. Keeping the funk alive with the living legend, they opened for P-Funk in Evanston Illinois, Sony Hall, The Howard Theatre and Newport News VA. The band started 2022 off with recording their new album at Dreamland Studios in Hurley NY with a release on Isotopia Records scheduled for May 6th.
