Info for Les Nébuleuses
One of the most brilliant arrangers from France, having already released four albums lauded by the critics, Christophe Dal Sasso has taken part in most of the orchestral adventures led by the Belmondo brothers from “Hymne au Soleil” to the double-album “Influence” recorded with the legendary Yusef Lateef up to their encounter with Brazilian singer Milton Nascimento. As a composer, he has recorded an entire album with American saxophonist David Liebman (“Exploration”, 2006) who in return asked him to orchestrated several of his own pieces for the Ensemble Intercontemporain. Combining jazz improvisation and classical writing, this Mediterranean-born artist has led many far-ranging and highly inspired projects for medium and large ensembles, including his own arrangement of John Coltrane’s masterwork, ‘A Love Supreme’.
