Info for The Masquerade Is Over
“The Masquerade is Over” is a compilation of lyrically riveting tunes, frolicsome dance numbers, and daft, sappy ballads. The album draws inspiration from songs the group performs live on a regular basis, as well as some other distinct selections, brought out of the woodwork for this album. Recorded in June 2023 and produced by Stewart Lerman, the album features Stefan Vasnier on piano, Aidan O’Donnell on bass, and Ben Cliness on drums. Some songs feature the trumpet of Charlie Caranicas, percussion from David Langois and guitar from Greg Ruggeiro.

Sarah King
Jazz chanteuse, street performer and dancer, Sarah King has busked in the subway, toured around the world with he Hungry March Band and appeared at speakeasies dubious and prestigious around this and other cities.
Sarah recorded her first solo album earlier this year, Tulip or Turnip. It is a collection of unlikely standards, and surprising interpretations that illustrate/ draw from her experience living in New York City — memories bejeweled with flowers, song and dance, before and during the 2020 pandemic. Sarah’s delivery is a little bit Blossom, a little bit Billie, and she considers herself a newfangled jazz clown of her own time and place. The album is a sailboat ride around the harbor at dusk, it is a walk through the flower market at dawn. It’s the magic in the madness!
