An American artist of Jamaican - Chinese heritage born in New York, Winters established herself as a versatile performer across Broadway, concert, and recording platforms. Her Broadway journey includes iconic roles such as 'Nala' in Disney's The Lion King (2019, 2023), and memorable performances in Motown the Musical, Pippin, and Hamilton, where she masterfully portrayed all three Schuyler Sisters. In 2024, Ms. Winters received the title of 1st runner-up in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Jazz Competition. Her latest vocal jazz release, "Lessons from a Lady”, Syndee Winters Sings Lena Horne, features 10- tracks from the Great American Songbook. Re-imagined with original arrangements, the album embodies the nostalgic essence of Lena Horne while capturing the energy of Winters’ contemporary jazz vocal style. Syndee has performed with prestigious orchestras as a concert artist, including the Taiwan Philharmonic, Firdaus Orchestra in Dubai, Utah Symphony, Boston Pops, National Symphony at the Kennedy Center, and LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl. Co-creator of the R&B Duo "Butterfly Black" with Grammy®-winning bassist Ben Williams, Winters’ released BLACKPOP, an 11-track LP available on all digital platforms. Her voice can be heard on the GRAMMY-nominated original cast recording of Jesus Christ Superstar in concert Live on NBC. Additionally, her vocals have graced tracks by Snoop Dogg, Big Daddy Kane, and Grandmaster Flash.
