Info for One More Night (Deluxe)
Only The Poets, consisting of Tommy Longhurst, bassist Andy ‘Roo’ Burge, guitarist Clem Cherry and drummer Marcus Yates, have established themselves as one of the UK's biggest up-and-coming live bands in just a few years.
Now the band will soon be releasing their third EP ‘One More Night’.
Only The Poets have returned with their euphoric single ‘One More Night’, on which frontman Tommy Longhurst reminisces about summer evenings gone by in a bed of soaring guitar sounds and pulsating synthesisers. It's a wistful, engaging track about good times gone by,
Tommy says: ‘It's a song about living in the moment. A reminder of the nights when nothing else mattered and everything felt like it was going to be alright. Those nights that, unbeknownst to you, turned out to be some of the best moments of your life.’
The song is also the namesake for the upcoming EP ‘One More Night’, which will be released on 7 June. The six new rousing songs show the band at their most captivating, with a cool mix of their electrifying synch-pop sound and emotional lyrics.
Only The Poets
Only The Poets
Reading-based indie-pop trio, Only The Poets, have been releasing music and performing across the UK since their formation, but over the past year they have been gliding from strength to strength in the successes of their career.
After sitting down with lead singer, Tommy Longhurst, in February, it was clear to me that this band was one of great passion for their craft, and drive to succeed. Mentioning their up-coming UK headline tour dates, Tommy said that the band were ‘really excited, ‘cause every city you go to is different and that’s what makes it fresh’. Following this debut headline tour at the beginning of the year, Only The Poets went on to support Ten Tonnes on his album tour, and are set to play several festivals this summer, commencing their next headline tour on the 19th of October in Bournemouth.
This album contains no booklet.
