Info for This Too Shall Last

He is one of those music stars who became world-famous overnight through the internet. In 2014, a friend posted the song "Call You Home", which was viewed over a million times within 24 hours. Ad hoc, dozens of international labels wanted to sign the Zimbabwean-born Kelvin Jones with the soulful voice. The focus of the concert is on songs from his current second album "This Too Shall Last", whose lyrics deal with Jones' artistic successes, the highs and lows of his career. The lyrics are packaged in a successful mix of indulgent blues numbers and rousing dance-pop songs that will have the audience grooving in no time.

"This Too Shall Last", is the second album by Kelvin Jones, which will be released in spring 2022. With quiet songs that show the roots of Kelvin Jones, while others show a completely different side of the artist. Namely the phase of DJ collaborations and the fun he had being on stage with these dance-pop songs. The album is a reflection of the ups and downs, the successes, but also the setbacks in recent years. And after studio sessions and deadlines, pressure of expectations and self-doubt, Kelvin Jones has finished a song with "Cry A Little Less" that has accompanied him longer than any other - and with the finished song, the burden also fell from Kelvin's shoulders. So it's all the nicer that Kelvin Jones will be going on a club tour through Germany in autumn 2022 and you can experience his songs live.

Kelvin Jones

Kelvin Jones
(born 10. February 1995) is a British-Zimbabwean singer-songwriter. He picked up the guitar at the age of 16 and quickly got obsessed with music. Only a few years later, he wrote the song Call You Home which became his breakout single after going viral online in 2014 and leading to him being signed by Sony.

In 2015, he joined Mark Forster as a support act on his Bauch und Kopf (Live Edition) tour and in the following years he went on to support huge acts such as X Ambassadors, James Morrison and Milow on their European tours as well as KT Tunstall in the US. Call You Home has since reached Gold status in Germany with over 200,000 sales and was featured in a CenturyLink ad campaign which was shown during the 2017 Super Bowl. Jones followed up this success with the single Only Thing We Know with Alle Farben and Younotus which became the No.1 most played record on German radio in August 2018. The next two singles are ready to be released in the upcoming months and a much anticipated follow up album will be released in 2019.
