Info for Nordic Treasures - Works for Flute and Piano
Nordic Treasures with Katharina Sames (flute) and Mari Inoue (piano) curates landmarks of the "Nordic" - musical "snapshots" with individual influencing factors that are excitingly linked by a network of common roots.
Apparent opposites interweave to form organic sound languages and merge into a colorful mosaic.
Featuring a wonderful collection of music from Hamilton Harty, Edvard Grieg, Johan Kvandal and Jacob Gade this is a lovely exploration of Nordic repertoire.
"The clear, translucent sound and the high precision of the recording and sound quality should be emphasised, making this 58-minute album a real feast for the ears. Katharina Sames' flute almost melts into the image of the human voice and Marie Inoue becomes a contragenial accompanist." (Dr. Claudia Behn, operius.de)

Katharina Sames & Mari Inoue
met and appreciated each other while studying in Hamburg. In 2013, they formed the duo Inoue/Sames and have performed regularly in Germany ever since.
The duo's repertoire encompasses a wide variety of styles and eras. The two musician friends are enthusiastic about the standard repertoire of this ensemble and are also always curious to discover and perform lesser-known works.
The duo is interested in exchanging ideas with other art forms; for example, a recent program featuring live painting with the painter Silke Thal was created.
Mari and Katharina are passionate about music education, so they always host their concerts themselves to create direct contact with the audience and perform, for example, in social institutions to awaken curiosity about music in people of all ages and with different educational backgrounds, backgrounds, and social backgrounds.
