Info for The Best is yet to Come
Copa Ilustrada Band is one of the most established groups in the Spanish music scene, representatives of the current swing, and led by the crooner Javier Botella. Seventeen musicians make up a big band that has put a soundtrack to a good part of the Spanish stages, starring in tours and representing the demand for a return musical style.
After its first album and after nearly 600 concerts under its belt, Copa Ilustrada has just released its second work under the title The Best is Yet To Come, a tribute -in the words of its creator Javier Botella- to “the golden years of the swing, the era of the great orchestras, such as that of Duke Ellington or Count Basie and repertoires performed by great voices such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr or Lou Bennet, even more contemporary ones such as Harry Connik Jr., Michael Bubble or Robbie Williams, world-class arrangers such as Quincy Jones, John LaBarbera, Dave Wolpe, Jerry Nowak and Matt Amy”.
Copa Ilustrada's second album, recorded at PKO studios under the musical direction of Aaron Pozón, integrates songs such as Luck be a lady, The best of everything, For once in my life, Day by day, Me and my shadow, The best is yet to come, All the way, Sunny, You make me feel so young, Where or when, One for my baby or How do you keep.
It is now presented in Madrid with a whole night of crooners, with luxury guests on stage to create an unforgettable evening ».

"The" crooner "of good work. Javier Botella has become the reference for " swing " in Spain. His job evokes the nights wrapped in tobacco smoke, alcohol and the music of the legendary cast of the Squad of Eleven, with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. at the helm ”- EL PAÍS
"How does this man and his musicians sound!" - ANDREU BUENAFUENTE
“Javier Botella, a successful Valencian businessman, left his job to dedicate himself to music, becoming a successful musician as well” - RNE
