Górecki Chamber Choir
was founded in 2013 by the Passionart Society in connection with the world premiere recording and performance of church music by Henryk Gorecki. The concert was recorded and aired on Polish radio and the BBC. In subsequent years the choir has given concerts of sacred music throughout Poland, under the direction of, among others, Jose Cura, Daniel Smith, Rolf Beck, Piotr Sułkowski and Krzesimir Dębski.

The Gorecki Chamber Choir collaborates with the Academy of Music in Krakow, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia, The Symphony Orchestra of the Feliks Nowowiejski Warmia and Mazury Philharmonic, and the Symphony Orchestra of Artur Malawski Philharmonic in Rzeszow. The Choir has recorded seven albums, two of which were nominated for the Fryderyk award in Poland. The choir made its debut at Rossini in Wildbad in 2018.

Fabrizio Maria Carminati
The Italian conductor Fabrizio Maria Carminati studied piano, composition and conducting in Milan. He made his debut in 1992 with Puccini’s La Bohème in Turin, where he went on to conduct major operatic works. His repertoire includes numerous Italian operas. From 2000 to 2004 he was artistic director of the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo and from 2004 to 2006 held the same role at the Fondazione Arena di Verona.

He has worked in opera houses across Italy, and has regularly appeared in Bilbao, Lyon, Nice, Strasburg and Tokyo as well as at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing and the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman. Recent appearances include Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor in Trieste, Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana in Palermo, Rossini’s Moïse at Rossini in Wildbad and Bellini’s Adelson e Salvini in Catania.
