Mother Mother
Biography Mother Mother
Mother Mother
is a Canadian indie rock band that formed in January 2005. Ryan Guldemond started the band by recruiting his sister Molly and a friend from college, Debra-Jean Creelman. They played as an acoustic trio before adding drummer Kenton Loewen and bassist Jeremy Page. In fall 2005 they independently released their first self-titled album under the name Mother. In 2007 they re-released it on Last Gang Records and renamed it Touch Up. They also changed their name to Mother Mother to avoid legal issues.
Their second album, O My Heart, was released in 2008. Later that year, on December 3, Mother Mother announced that Debra-Jean Creelman had left. On January 26, 2009, the band announced the addition of Jasmine Parkin as singer/keyboardist. Eureka, their third album, was released on March 15, 2011. They released their fourth album, The Sticks, on September 18, 2012. Mother Mother's fifth album, Very Good Bad Thing, was released on November 4, 2014.
