Uptight
Biography Uptight
Uptight
is a Parisian band addict to the stage created in 2016 whose sound navigates between Soul and Heavy-Funk. In the same year, Uptight recorded a first L.P in self-production entitled "Soul Kitchen" followed in 2019 by a 4 track EP.
Sharpened during the concerts (New Morning, Point Ephémère, Enghien Jazz Festival...) the show of Uptight propels you into a new dimension with liberating energy. The group also travelled with its Soul to Tanzania during a festival in Dar-es-Salaam and during a beautiful tour in Vietnam.
Soulful & Raw Funk! Uptight plays for fans of hot dancefloors as well as for music lovers in search of new auditory sensations. It makes the ears shake and the soles wear.
Sabrina Lebon, figurehead of the band, fully assumes her role as leader and creates contact with the audience, which she doesn't hesitate to make sing along to 'Happiness' or the rhythmic 'I Need Joy'. The charm works, the voice is rather pretty, the overall performance is of high quality, and tracks such as 'Tomorrow Is My Turn' pleasantly caress the eardrums; the audience responds! It's interesting to have felt them enter into the atmosphere more and more deeply as the Parisians' concert progressed.
