Geneva Piano Trio
was formed in 2009 in Geneva, by Russian musicians, international prize winners, who’s paths have crossed in this beautiful Swiss city.
The ensemble is performing regularly in Switzerland and around Europe, Russia and Israel, in concert series and major Festivals, and made several recordings for Radio de la Suisse Romande and Television de la Suisse Romande.
During the Covid times, the group has stayed active and produced several recorded concerts without the audience, and as soon as the situation allowed, Trio de Geneve has resumed performing in public concerts, and their appearance at the Festival des Bastions in June 2021 appeared to be one of the first public events, which took place in Geneva , after Swiss government has released the restrictions.
This coming season , Trio de Geneva is releasing an Album, especially close to their hearts, featuring the Piano trios by P.Tchaikovsky op.50 and S.Rachmaninov op.8.
Sergey Ostrovsky- is a violinist with wide range of artistic activities, prize winner of International competitions, Aviv String quartet leader and founder since 1997, Soloist, Conductor, and a Professor of Violin in the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve. Sergey regularly performs under the baton of such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Dmitri Jurowski, Pablo Heras Cassado and others.
Dan Sloutskovsky – International prize winner, made his great European scene appearances as one of the most remarkable Russian child prodigies , both as a cello soloist and in the Duo with his sister – pianist Ekaterina Ivanova, now combining his solo and chamber music activities with the position of Co-Leader of the Cello section of Orchestre Chambre de Geneve.
Irina Chkourindina- Russian born pianist, highly acclaimed by “Liberté” as the pianist ..”with Imperial technique and generous heart”, has won several important competitions, in Czech Republic, China and Switzerland.
