Info for Mozart, Brahms & Mahler: Piano Quartets

The Skride Quartet was formed for a concert at Schubertiade Festival in 2016. Whilst maintaining their own high profile solo careers, their passion for chamber music unites the four of them. Within a short period of time they have grown into a close-knit chamber ensemble in great demand internationally. This Debut-CD includes the most famous Piano Quartets of Classical literature, by Mozart and Brahms as well then the unique Quartet movement by Gustav Mahler.

"[The Brahms is] the work of a composer in his twenties, and it’s to the credit of this multinational chamber supergroup that you never forget this…If, at times, it can all feel a little breathless, I’d argue that the gains outweigh any losses… Mozart’s G minor Piano Quartet opens the disc, and this too is taut, energetic and unaffected… So sit back, we’re on the road to Brahmsian glory." (Gramophone)
