Info for Sanguivore

For their latest or third full studio album 'Sanguivore', the five Brits of Creeper have made a blood pact to fully concentrate on the things that really make them tick; to penetrate with a burning torch into the rather dimly lit recesses of frontman Will Gould's ever fertile mind.

The result: over 40 minutes of music that combines the grandiose and epic with the punk rock spirit that has been a cornerstone of the Creeper sound since their 2017 debut: a torn leather jacket wrapped in a plush velvet coat - a coat lined in red satin, of course. Inspired by folklore and myth, the more shadowy side of popular culture, Creeper have staked out a space of their own; a misty world of gothic imagery and dark romance, crypts and castle ruins, the unrequited and the undead - a world where love has its price and beauty smiles with sharpened teeth.

From the opening track 'Further Than Forever', a nine-minute multi-layered tour-de-force that would put a smile on the face of the late Jim Steinman, to the closing track 'Spook And Mercy', a nocturnal tale of little Mercy and her ravenous deeds, 'Sanguivore' is a hugely impressive, loosely conceptual journey through the glorious and graphic.

Creeper
A horror punk unit based out of Southampton, England, the aptly named Creeper draw inspiration from a deep well of goth, post-punk, and glam rock greats like AFI, Alkaline Trio, Tiger Army, Bouncing Souls, and David Bowie. Founded in 2014 by vocalist Will Gould, guitarists Ian Miles and Oliver Burdett, bassist Sean Scott, drummer Dan Bratton, and keyboardist Hannah Greenwood, the band issued their eponymous debut EP shortly after formation. In 2015 they inked a deal with Roadrunner Records and put out a second EP, The Callous Heart, which was followed by a tour with the Misfits and an appearance at that year's U.K. Warped Tour. A third EP, The Stranger, dropped the following year, and in 2017, Creeper unleashed their full-length debut, Eternity, In Your Arms. After seemingly announcing their breakup in 2018, the band unexpectedly returned a year later. In 2020 they unleashed their second album, the grandiosely titled Sex, Death & The Infinite Void, which was teased with the anthemic single "Born Cold." (James Christopher Monger, AMG)
