Apifera
is an electronic jazz quartet who debuted with the album Overstand on Stones Throw in 2020. The group’s distinct sound speaks to the players’ musical backgrounds: Nitai Hershkovits (keys) composes classical music and jazz; Yonatan Albalak (bass) fronts psychedelic-post rock group Geshem; Amir Bresler is a sought-after jazz drummer and leader of the space-afro-beat group Liquid Saloon, and Yuvi Havkin (keys) has released two albums as Rejoicer on Stones Throw, which marry electronic beats, hip-hop and transcendental jazz.
